I will be writing about The Brady Bunch and how it had an effect on the development of the "normal" American Family. This show is different from other shows that involve a family because it isn't the typical, white picket fence picture. It shows that no family portrays that perfect image and that there are always parts of a family that are Dysfunctional in some way. This is very relevant to today because it relates to all families.

I used to watch The Brady Bunch all the time when I was little, I really liked the show, and probably because it related to families and real issues. Because the show addresses the problem of divorce, and blending two families together makes it is unique and different. I think this is a good topic for the research paper, because it really did influence American culture regarding the way families interact and conflict within. People always refer back to the Brady Bunch when talking about blending two families together, this alone shows the significance of the show.
ReplyDeleteI think the Brady Bunch is a really excellent topic for you to write about. It does a good job of showing the balance between two family's and how they will get along however they will also have their differences. I remember watching it as a kid and it brought up some issues that are pressing to children and has in some way probably shaped all of our lives. From the issue of step parents and siblings to dealing with issues in large group settings with differing opinions.
