I think that if Chris had survived he would have contacted his parents. But I also think his view on life would not have changed and he still would have been very distant from his family. He was so passionate for how he felt he should live his life and I don't think him almost dying would have changed that. I also don't think he would go back to school, but I do think he would have tried to find a job and continue living on his own.

I agree with you that his view on life would not have changed. He probably would still believe in the same things, and continue to live his life in that way. He seemed really determined and passionate about what he believed in as far as his values in life, which I don't think a near death experience would change. I also think your right that he wouldn't go back to school. I can't see him spending money on an education that he pretty much thought was pointless to begin with. To live, he would need a job, so he probably would try to find one, but not something that he didn't enjoy doing. Most importantly, I also agree that he would live on his own, and continue his life far away from his parents.
